It is our duty to praise the Master of all, to ascribe greatness to the author of creation; for He has made us unlike the pagans of the Lands and has not placed us like the families of the earth. He has not made our portion like theirs, and our lot like all their multitudes, And we bend the knee and bow, and acknowledge our thanks before the King of Kings, the Holy One, Blessed be He. He stretched out the heavens and established the earth's foundation and the seat of His Glory is the heavens above and the presence of His power in the most exalted heights. He is our G-d, there is none other. True is our King, there is nothing besides Him, as it is written in His Torah: and you shall know this day and take it to heart, that Adonai is G-d, in the heaven above and on the earth below, there is none other. And it is said: "Adonai shall be King over all the Lands; on that day Adonai will be One and His Name One."
